Standard Vrs rear calipers

Featured Replies

I know its an old chestnut but ive been trawling the forum for info regarding replacing the rear calipers as theyre shot, i considered upgrading to 256mm but only have standard fronts because the cost of the standard calipers is extortionate and wondered if i should change the lot as its a comparable price. Any opinions appreciated and part numbers for the standard calipers would be great and not to fused if theyre green as long as they work. Any places to purchase aswell would be handy. Cheers

All I can say about the rear standard VRS discs 232mm do very little in the way of braking, and tend to rust very quickly if replaced.

I usually renew rear discs and pads every 3 years being cheap to buy 'MINTEX' brand off E-Bay at just under £30.

Upgrading the disc size at the front and pads would be more beneficial, where the main braking takes place...
