STOP BEEPING FURKING CAR

Before clive comes back is there anything i should try buying to get this facking car fixed

Shift bushes fitted but with good comes bad

And has desided his speedo wont work and just beeps the fuel light at me grrrr

Clives back down next week but unforunatly this week i needed the red fackwit car

Instrument cluster plug loose??

At least you'll be keeping mileage low if speedo not working. ;)

My fabia has done this - usually comes with a convenience unit fault.  It's a very irregular fault though.  I would imagine it could be caused by water ingress?

It start today , when test drove after the shifter bushes fitted

The drive pinion has been mentioned as the plug was off when clived looked

But even when plugged back on its the same

So apparently it could be this pinion thing ;(

what exactly have you touched?

has any thing been disconnected? ie the clocks? unlikely to be them that are faulty imo, if you have been working down near the speedo drive/shifter mech and now the dash doesn't work. Do the other cluster lights work (turn your lights on to check) also do the door door open warning, ecu light etc etc come on when you put the key in?

All works except speedo, and the fuel light cones on and keeps beeping like hell

All clive did was fit my 42s and verdict bushes

Sensor off top of speedo drive was off we only moved the bracket up by 1cm wouldn't have touched the worm drive

I have a new worm gear we can throw in if the other isn't broken internally wich has been an issue on these boxes before

Just **** luck but I'm there next week

Bad luck is how it sees to be :(

Maybe its the world trying to tell me not to keep my car

  • Author

Or maybe its the world saying to the box out and fit a diff lol

Id go with the first tho

I broke it so you won't need them wheels ;-)

  • Author

Yeah prob solved lol

If Clive doesn't fix it I have a spare one sat here...

Cool, i have faith in clivey

Even tho he swore at my car :D

yes dont think you need to worry either way it will get sorted by clive.

not likely to be drive as thats not been out of the gearbox. It will be the sensor if anything on the top as that might have a dodgy connection at a guess or maybe got damaged if it got knocked. They do fail.

Either way simples fix!

Clive will be sorting it next week mate

Cool could u pm me what your findings are? im baffled with mine thanks Ben

If it's same symptoms it can only be top sensor not pushed on properly or cable pitched

Or the internal worm gear has come off

That's the one but there are variations!
