sloppy suspension

Featured Replies

Alright folks

Need your input on this one. After flying my Octy  at over 90mph and bottoming out so hard that the sump exploded :( , the cars handling seems to be a bit sloppy. Seems to roll more than before and doesn't feel as balanced.

It's been about two months since the incident and nothing has changed, i've checked everything that could effect the handling buts it's all ok. The struts are fine the shocks aren't leaking and the anti roll bars are also good.

Are there any uprated struts that i can get which do not lower the car but will stiffen up the handling. Maybe i'm just being paranoid

Cheers

I know it's along time since you posted, but since no-body else has...:)

Re your current setup - are you sure the shocks aren't leaking? - remember, if they are gas you won't see a leak!!

In terms of replacement, your best bet would be Boge turbogas shocks, standard ride height but 20% less compliant, well regarded in Audi circles.

Hope this helps.

Cheers buddy.

Car is still the same old sloppy ride since the incident. Can you tell me were to get the Boge shocks.

Thanks for your reply

Si

No probs-

Look for part number here http://webcat.zf-trading.com/index.asp?SPR=4

German and Swedish are Boge agents, take the part number and get them to order them in... they can do it although they may not want to.... otherwise ring around your local garages or motor factors, shouldn't take long to get on the trail of a stockist! good luck!
