Can I use Vag Com to test for boost leaks

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Can I use Vag Com to check for boost leaks on my car? I sometimes get a little smoke and it sounds a bit whooshy. I read somewhere where you look at block 032 and see if it changes or something but block 032 is non existant in my ASV 1.9 tdi lump.

You can get 5m of silicon hose from ram air on ebay for £10. Seems most people recommend changing this, especially if increasing the power like you have. I plan to replace mine just as a bit of preventative maintenance on any easily accessible hoses. For a tenner I think its a sound investment.

Yes it looks like a plan, I might go for some of this but the leak is the boost pipes I think. The ones between the turbo and intercooler etc.

doh, I didn't think of that! lol

as yours is already upgraded have you thought of going for an uprated SMIC and better piping?

I was planning to but Admiral aren't interested....:(
