I'm fitting a new stereo and need to have 12v power supply,any idea how/what/where to get it?

Look for an empty fuse-slot in the fuse-box, and use a spade connector ;)

Just connect spade to end of the wire and slot into empty fuse slot?

Yup. Put an in-line fuse in there as well. Some of them are switched, some are always live.

 

I've got a couple like this on mine for the camera and DRLs

    ah dam, I was just going to mention you can buy a product called a fuse tap. Its a fuse with a cable coming out of it for just this purpose
