Anyone from Sheffield? :)

trying to find a DIY mechanic to come on a ride with me to see if they can diagnose a problem im having with my 2005 octavia vrs mk1, I can only explain it as when accelerating hard and surpassing roughly 3,000rpm the car stutters and smooth power delivery is stopped, the ECU lights up with the engine light flashing for roughly 10 seconds.

It just generally feels like a lack of acceleration power through rev ranges above 3,000rpm.

I have already posted about this topic here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/293574-engine-splutter-and-ecu-light-flashing/ but was hoping someone local with DIY experience with 1.8T's could take a ride with me and give their thoughts

thanks,

Ben
