Can't believe it , some time over the weekend the car passenger side front a rear door has a key line across the length of them.

 

Why do mindless aholes need to do that.

 

I wish i had a camera and go get the little feckers.

 

I did manage to get some of the marks out as lucky i keep car wax'd. may have a better go this week too.

 

Not sure if it is worth going through insurance and not sure is a simple touch up can be done of a full door spray is needed.

May I suggest that you avoid the insurance like the plague.I had some minor damage around Easter and although I had it repaired myself I made the mistake of advising my insurance.Come renewal time all quotes included an excess as the current insurer had me down as having had an accident. Even though they had not incurred any cost and it was a parking lot scratch I had one hell of a job to get that "non event" off my record.I will in future tell them as little as is legally possible.

I once claimed for a windscreen. Although it didn't affect my no claims my insurance put my premium up the following year despite telling me at the time they wouldn't! They lost my custom soon after. I too would avoid insurance if its possible.

The story goes that some women (in her thirties) broke up with her girlfriend and was so ****ed off about the whole incident she went around and keyed the other womens name into a bunch of cars including my neighbors, given my car was parked only a few down from hers I can't believe it didn't happen to mine!

 

Hopefully you can get it sorted without too much fuss.

Yep thinking not to go through insurance due to this,  and the fact i will have to use up my excess as no one to blame or prove did it to claim against.

Most people would probably not see the scratches now I have had a better go at them, it they weren't looking probably,  but i know they are there... May take to a paint shop to see if they can be flattened out. will post pics later

Here Here.  I got 'done' by a case of mistaken identity. Some muppet wrote my plate down instead of the correct letters. N instead of M!!!

 

It's cost me money through no fault of my own. The system is a joke.  It would have been easier to have had the 'incident' than been nothing to do with it.

 

Bowders - this is always a main worry of mine. There are people out there would not think twice to do it.  What did they say in Pulp Fiction 'never touch another man's vehicle'.

sorry to hear about this mate my friend had his audi done on Saturday night rear door and the quarter deep aswell and the worse thing is its dark blue and its down to the metal so sticks out like a sore thumb , little idiots with nothing better to do than wreck and rob peoples stuff hope you get it sorted

Thanks buddy, Yep I don't take it personally as the little feckers don't know me so i move on, I believe in Karma and what goes around comes around so they will get there comeuppance , i just would of liked to bring it much earlier to them........

 

My car is silver so probably a better colour to mask it..

Er what is worrying or disturbing? It is a fact of life if people want something and cannot afford it they nick it. I am not implying it is right. I have had stuff nicked in the last week even. Damaging stuff is senseless.

I think folks on here are referring to the comments cutting or slitting fingers as worrying or disturbing buddy in a light hearted way. Not the nicking or damaging as that is a unfortunate fact of life.

The thing is there really are a fair few mindless people that think nothing of damaging others property. This is a real shame as I'm always worried about my nice shiny car when it's out of sight. We can all joke about what our minds would think if we caught people in the act. Recently I saw a vid on facecloth where a guy had fingers chopped off with an axe at gunpoint for steeling something or another. Is that rough justice ? Would certainly make people think twice about theft in the country he's from !
