Something is knocking up front.

Featured Replies

Well along with my suspected wheel bearing on the N/S/F I believe I have something buggered on the drivers side now.

over rought surfaces (Crap roads) the road noise is significantly louder, and when I got over small bumps or a short step (2" raised humps etc) I get a knock on the drivers side.

I have had the car up and had a poke around and everything looks to be ok, all bushes tight apart from my rear engine mount which is a bit weak but its not that.

Is there anything else I should be looking for, how can I check the top mounts and where should I be looking for play etc.

any help / pointers much appreciated.

Rob

Most likely culprit will be the droplinks I would think. Either that or possibly the anti roll bar bushes, its pretty hard to feel any movement in them even if they have gone I think.

Mark.
