Does anyone know how to do it? Did have a look round whilst changing the compressor but no joy with finding it. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated, ta

it is in the condenser unit on the front, there is either a huge torx nut or a circlip holding it in, you may struggle to get the correct filter tho and sometimes is easier to replace the condenser as a whole

Thanks, do you happen to know if replacing it will require draining of the air con system again?

yes it needs the ac system to be empty mate. then vacuum'd down for half hour or so before regassing
