MkI Fabia Brake Judder.....

Hi,

I've got a 53 plate Fabia Estate 1.4 Diesel.  

Got a slight problem come on today....

When I've going at slow speeds and brake, I'm getting a lot of judder feedback through the pedal and a rapid knocking coming from the front of the car.  Just when I'm 10mph (or so) and under - otherwise, the braking's fine.  I can slow down from 50 to a stop without it happening - it's just when I'm going slowly.

Had wheel bearings done a month or so back, and would have thought there would be more of an event when I'm braking if it was anything to do with that - but otherwise, nothing else has changed.  Am wondering if something is up with ABS?  No warning lights are showing, checked the fuse and that's not blown (but that exhausts what I would normally look at)

Any advice/assistance much appreciated - paying for wheel bearings have nigh on wiped me out now!!
