warning light under dipped beam light

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Noticed a red warning light coming on and off (literally a flash every so often) and for the life of me couldn't see it no matter how hard i looked it was just too quick.

I pulled over and checked the manual - nothing, according to the manual there isnt a warning light there! (this is below the dipped beam light, smack bang in between the coolant level gauge and petrol gauge.

So i got home and got my torch out and shined it on the display - it looked to me like it was a seat being reclined e.g. it wasnt sat right after being adjusted? i have no idea, so can anyone shed any light?

will be appreciated! thanks, Ben

Fold your back seats farward, start it up and see if the lights always on ;)

Pushing the seats back up will probly fix your fault also

The switch for it will be on the part of the backrest that contains the 3 point centre rear seat belt.

Legends, all sorted. For some reason i thought it'd be the front seats.

Why is this warning light not in the manual may i ask?

No problem.

abit off topic but what is the actual purpose of this light?? surely if someone sat in the seat it would click back in to place therfore removing the need for the light its self?

It's a safety warning which I think is in place because the 3 point seat belt is contained within that back rest.  I think that the earlier cars with the middle lap belt don't have it.  There is the possibility that the seat may not click back into place due to an obstruction in the boot.
