the mods are all in the thread Geoge posted :)

also been perfectly reliable, I have a vRS saloon before and did 50,000 faultless miles in it ;) any questions John , Just ask ;)

Love mine, the best car I've ever owned as well.

Fabulous machine. 4 adults and all their luggage, no problem. I've driven mine 1000 miles in 2 days down to Spain and it just eats up the miles. Narrow enough for country lanes, powerful enough to play with the big boys, excellent value. Do it! You won't regret it

I could rename it rapid... you can't tell from this pic ;)

Sharkrider's black magic vRS estate is just so darn handsome. I'd love one, TBH.

Best car I've ever owned. She is a keeper.

  • Cheap to run
  • cheap to insure
  • easy to drive
  • fast and nimble - more so with TMC box and swaybar kit
  • super practical with the huge boot and roof rails.
  • exclusivity. have not driven past another mk2 vrs fab estate in my 2 years of happy ownership.
  • you can be loud and proud or a stealthy sleeper depending on your colour choice ;)
  • contrary to popular opinion - not all 1.4tsi engines drink oil. mine doesn't drink any at all.

The vRS Estate is a vRS hatch with an extended cargo area,if you like the hatch but want more luggage space then it's great.

That's a factual reply to the OP's question, the estate is not a special car in it's own right, just a variant.

Quicker than the hatch, carries more than you think is possible - what's not to like?

I'd have one in a heartbeat

Love mine too!

Not going to lie she drinks a little oil, but apart from that she is a peach.

Went through a stage of wanting to downsize due to the running costs. But when I did the maths I realised it is a pretty cheap car to run!

Love love love.

I'm on my second MkII vRS Fabia Estate.

It's fantastic.

What am I to buy next time with no petrol Fabia with any power and DSG?

Will probably have to buy my first MOT in 25 years.

Tony

I want to trade our hatch for an estate next year

same here Tony, I have been changing my car at 3 years when the warrenty runs out, but this time, replace with what?! I may be keeping this for sure....

Check when they stop making them as the new Fabia is supposedly out next year - if you want an Estate...

I was told that there are no more coming from the factory, so if you want a new one, it will be sourced from fore courts around the country...

better be quick!

The price I was given was more than I wanted to pay, so Im keeping my hatch. MOT for me as well!

Can i ask who told you that, was it a Dealer trying to place an order ?

Skoda have only just got the New Configurator up and working with the latest 'RS Estate' showing,  ahh well.

They seemed to show the 5 year warranty at no extra cost as well,

so i suppose if you can not buy the car, then that deal is not available.

I have also heard there are no more vRS estates for order....... can you find out how many have been made george? (looking for rareity!)

Less than 2300 vRS Fabias from 2010- 2013 Road Registered in the UK listed on How Many Left,

the Estate is not listed separately.

But i think there is at least 2 hatches for each estate. Maybe only 1/4 are Estates, so pretty rare.

Not many up on 'Autotrader' right now, (12 ish)

but 2 great bargain 'Asking Prices', low mileage Estates. So who knows how cheap someone can get these for.

& one at near £16,000 'Asking Price.'

I will be onto the Dealer first thing because they are supposed to have let me know when orders were closing.

Not fussed as there are some nice Ex Demos sitting, even one at under £13,000

Looking to Order on Lease from stock a VW Amarock for collection this month,

but even the VW Dealer is playing at being a Stupid Muppet. so it might be a Isuzu instead.

george

2 Scottish Dealerships can order new vRS Estates on their systems today, and give Build Weeks for these,

so no word of no more factory builds.

They can also get today from the Docks 'New vRS Estates',

these would be at the dealers for delivery next week, Black or Silver with all the extras. Glasses case, Arm Rest , Rear Sensors etc,

with the choice of Dark Chrome or Black Gigaro.

george

PS. EDIT,

Orders on new vRS's are increasing according to a Dealer that has supplied many

& has orders in now for their customers.

hmm,

yep it was sales guy at at the Skoda place near me in Liverpool.

He looked through the Fabia Brochure, and the Vrs Estate wasn't in there!

Then said he can phone around and see what is available.

It seems there are still a few mixed messages out there!
