VRS PEDALS WORN, NO CHROME LEFT!

Featured Replies

Has anyone else out there experienced the chrome wearing off the brake and throttle pedals on their VRS?

I have just purchased 2011 VRS with 37k on the clock and there is hardly any chrome/stainless steel left!

Warranty expires in April so going to pop back to the dealer and see if warranty will stump up for new pedals. Having worked for the brand I expected better build quality than this.

I will add photos when the Mrs hands back the car.

They are only pedal covers so not expensive for Skoda to replace if seems unreasonable.

My 2010 is past 40k and when clean the pedals look nearly new

Welcome to the forum.

Let us know how you get on, you can only but ask them to replace.

I personally never look at my pedals, they usually have a foot covering them & i look out the windscreen rather.

Wear and tear item,

no manufacturer can cater for all types of footwear/soles or how the pedals will wear, or how a driver wears the pedals.

but i have seen 40,000 mile plus cars looking like new inside, just as they left the factory..

What are they, stainless or just surface plated?

If stainless they should just polish up again with Solvol Autosol and a toothbrush.

its a little odd... I did 50,000 miles in my last vRS and the pedals didn't wear out... still covered in chrome!

I was wondering if the car still had the Originals pedals on it.
