Will these products be okay for a novice?(DA)

Featured Replies

Going to have a go after christmas in getting my paint in resonable shape. Will this kit be okay?

I already own tar remover, clay, lube, shampoo, wax etc. just need some good pads and polish for use with my DA.

I am thinking of this combination after a little bit of research;

3m Yellow pad (150mm)

3m Blue pad (150mm)

Scholl S17+

A few different sizes of 3m masking tape.

I also need to a get an IPA to use before I wax any recommendations?

Will this give me resonable gains? Or can anyone recommend a better polish/pad combination? I dont want to spend mega money to beign with. When I become a little more experienced etc I will then look at more products.

IPA is IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol)

I bought mine from Amazon....eBay IPA has been known to be watered down

If youre using S17+ with the yellow pad I would use some S40 with the blue pad before a panel wipe of IPA (50:50) and LSP

Thanks Chris. Sorry for my ignorance but what is a LSP? I have always been into car cleaning a polishing but never to this extent.

Sorry........Last Stage Product ie. Wax or Sealer

Thanks Chris. I have Collinite 476 for the final stage.

Good winter choice
