Getting my old wheels back!

Featured Replies

Saw them come up on a random facebook group on a "breaking golf" link....  Recognised my old wheels right away.

Planning on getting them, cleaning them right up, then probably slapping on 4 new Maxxis.  Yeah, they weigh a lot, but I dig the look.

The last time I had these wheels on my car was when I blew my old Allard hybrid on the Ring, so going back a good 4 years or more I think.  This was it after being shipped back to the UK for repairs - damaging the back bumper in the process.

Nice jase. Really want a set myself as im planning on going more sensible after next show season so want a nice 17 and these are my top choice. Seen them on the black fabia that goes to combe (sorry forgot name) and ever since have loved them and they are one of those wheels that look really good rolling.

How many sets wheels will you own Jason?

Didn't realise you had the Allard hybrid turbo. That's what I have but it hasn't blown up yet lol ! Done 110 k miles on it .

I did always think these were one of the nicest wheels I've seen on a furby.

Very nice, I'm sure MikeB has a set of these on his vrs.

This will be the third set, but I currently only have choice of road, or track tyres.

The hybrid I blew was their VT5 - VNT20 turbo I think.  I ran their VT2 hybrid which I suspect is what you have, fine, and I think it is still going on another car now.

Do look good :)

What are they?

It's a very simple wheel, but I like it.  Easy to clean too....

The most important criteria in my book, easy to clean.

On the black one that goes to combe they look so good in anthracite on it.

They're ok but I don't think they're my cup of tea the more I look at them even though I like 5 spoke wheels like the TT comps

Not a fan. But a result that you found your own set again! :)

Simon has taken them off now.

He's sporting Joe's old set of bright blue spiders

I seen on instagram he had bought them, thoughthe was having track and road wheels.

that may be his plan i guess

certainly looked like this when i saw him

Well, I have them and given them a thorough decontamination.  Almost had a change of heart and was thinking of selling on again, but I think I will stick with it.  I have the spare "ex-display" wheel too still wrapped up, which I will probably swap with the first wheel below which has a couple of fair kerb marks on the spokes.
