Looking for suspension for my vRS

Featured Replies

Hey up guys,

I am after some suspension to go on my Fabia vRS.  Ive already done the JOM kit and sold them after a few months as they wouldn't go up enough at the rear for me and were a tad harsh, plus I was having trouble with the car and was returning it to std to sell. Once I removed the CG clutch though I fell in love with it again so decided to keep it.

Here is how the car looked on the JOM kit, fully up on the rear, only on the platforms a couple of turns.

I am after something that is pretty much bang on that at the front pos 5mm higher but the rear needs to be up 10-15mm more as the way that one was it looked like it was squatting at the rear.

Not sure what to go for as I need something comfortable too.

Coilovers are better for me as I like the fine tuning of the height but at the same time they are stiffer lol.

Does anyone know if the Koni FSD shocks are any shorter on the fronts than the std shocks?  if so by how much? needs to be shorter below the spring base, this way I can use std springs and only lower it by the few mm the shocks are shorter?

Does anyone have a set of JOM coilovers off their car at the mo?

If you do can you do me a favour and measure the rear spring adjusters please?  Need to know the diameter of the platform where the spring sits, outer edge that sits inside the spring, also the overall height of the bit with the threads please.  this way I can compare them with others and the ones I have in my KWv3 kit for the Octavia 1U vRS

If anyone else can do the same measuring of their kits from other makes other than the JOM kits I would like to know them too.

Many thanks

billy

PS also which would be better to get?  Twin tube or mono tube shocks?
