Syphon Octavia diesel

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm new here but need to ask a question I have a company car an Octavia it's going back next week and has a full tank of diesel I ideally would like to get this out I understand they have an anti syphon on them, I've read you can get access to the tank through the back seats can anyone help?

Thanks

If you have a week and its a comany car then planning a road trip this weekend is in order :hi:

It can be done but where are you going to put 50 litres of diesel?

Lift the rear seats, remove the panel above the fuel pump and then remove the pump from the tank and syphon or pump the fuel out of the tank, then rebuild it and mission accomplished.

Potentially very messy though. These in-tank pumps are often fully submerged when the tank is full and removing them with a full tank can let a significant amount of fuel escape. I've tried this before and ended up with a gallon or more of derv going all over my drive, and that was with only a 3/4 full tank. Is it really worth the hassle for £50-60 worth of fuel?
