I want the alarm chirp/beep noise when I lock and unlock my car. 

 

It doesn't have an alarm so cant be switched on in VCDS, but i do have remote central locking. If i'm honest, Im not bothered about having an alarm, I just want the noise.

 

Is it possible to just fit the speaker that makes the beep? and how would i go about this?

 

I'd like it to function off of the key, rather than having a separate fob 

 

If you think the mod is pointless, that that is of course your opinion, I just want to know how to go about getting the beep!  

 

 

You will need to somehow retrofit some form of alarm siren (whether the oem one can be done or not I don't know) and then code in central convenience 46, adaption 10, and turn channels for locking/unlocking confirmation beeps from 0 to 1 (which you might find is already an option)

 

Worth checking wiring under N/S rear seats to see if you have wiring going through seat metal base (round panel) which would go to the alarm siren if down there (as stock)

Well, my car never even had remote locking - so yours is 1 up on mine.  I just gained RCL when I did my vRS conversion, as I gained all the things the vRS had, but my TDI didn't.  Alarm function included.

 

Only just got around to buying a siren though.....   Still not fitted it though.
