Called skoda uk and this was the response when asked about a build week. Then called The dealer who were genuinely shocked and said they'd check. They phoned back a little dismayed and said week 21!

Long story short, I'm buying their petrol demo vrs next week! It'll stop me whittling about the particulate filter anyhow!

Seriously though, I'm sure the petrol car will be 'nearly' as good as a diesel one.

Pretty much what I was told in October already - that placing an order for vRS I'm looking at 7 months of waiting. How things turned up now made me realize they actually have no clue whatsoever.

What did you order and what options.

 

As far as i am aware Skoda UK don't have a clue about a build date until given it by the factory 2 weeks beforehand the rest is just pure guess work.

It is the same for others aswell. My local dealer said the same thing - 2 weeks, before that time the "build week" can hop around and is just "something"...

See my car description. According to my dealer the problematic options were sunroof, silver roof rails and Columbus. And it really was as you say - dealer called me 13 days ago and said I've got a confirmed BW 49 which is this week. But even that wasn't true any more - it was being delivered this week. Picking it up today.

 

Those dates are worth nothing.

So next time anyone asking when I will be getting my car? Answer: "When it's ready"

I ordered mine on 29 July and I'm still waiting for a build date. Hoping to get it before the Mk4 is released!

ask dealer about national stocks, ive been offer a red (stock) vrs and only on Saturday a blue vrs with leather/heated seats/black pack and columbus.  I think they said there's 4-5 just sitting around.

Yep, 30 weeks for me.

My dealer told me today that they're selling their demos for full new retail because they can't replace them!  30 weeks for mine too. Skoda cannot explain how my friend's vRS hatch 'tagged' the same day as mine has arrived but my order wasn't 'accepted at the factory' until 2 October from August 21 order date. Total shambles.
