My fabia would bong when my washers was getting low but my octavia ran out today with no warning?

Camden market usually have a few traders where you can pick up a cheap bong. HTH

IIRC it's only the higher trim levels that get the washer bottle warning level sensor.

Yes if it has washer jets it has larger washer tank and sensor

That was a really useful feature of the Fabia vRS. Why they didn't include it in all the Octavias I have no idea! That's why I keep a bottle of screenwash in my boot just in case I run out, important especially at this time of year.

It is only fitted to cars with xenon headlights since they have the 5.5 litre washer tank due to having headlight washers rather than the 3.8 litre (I think) tank fitted to octavias with out xenon's. I seem to remenber someone fitting the larger tank to an octavia without xenon's but I can't remember who or how much it cost. I think that they had a few isues with routing the cable for the low level sensor if I remember correctly but once they had solved that it was just a case of coding it in with VCDS.

3 litre washer bottle in mine, filled it up recently. Glad it's possible to fit the bigger bottle and code it in. Knew it was possible for the Mk1 Fabia to fit a 5L bottle instead of the small 2L standard one.

No bong but warning light on dash says when washer fluid is low.

I never even got the dash light?

I also don't get a light. ednmra has an elegance and I think that they had xenon's as standard. I think he just means that when it does come on there is not a warning bong just the light. I ran out of washer fluid when I first got my vRS because the demo that I drove before getting mine had xenon's fitted and the light was on so I thought that all octy's had it.

Just to clarify any MK2 that has headlamp washers (doesnt necessarily need to have Xenons) will have the low fluid sensor and warning.

Believe all FL Elegance and 4x4 models have them, not sure about the Scout. The vRS is essentially SE spec with a couple of niceties so does without some of the nicer bits and bobs in the UK at least.

I have a FL vRS with Xenons and mine has the warning in maxidot and audible "bong" ...
