Hi Guys,

I am a long time user and advocate of the AD Foam Lance and really like their Magifoam but haven't tried any of their other products.  I think their own labels tend to be decent from mix of reading online but just always bought something else, mainly from CyC.

I am most likely about to buy my little brother a lance and foam on the DW group buy so that he doesn't need to keep coming round to my house to use mine :)

Seen as the deal covers the postage I'm tempted to add in some prods for my own use, I'm mostly looking at what they have on offer as this is really an impulse purchase to test a few things out.

My list is:

Purple Rain (like Iron X) - as I need some Iron decon anyway

To Seal and Protect - Spray Sealant (as it's impossible to own TOO MANY lsp's

Hades Interior Cleaner - From Hellshine Range

Hellshine Eliminator - slightly beefier hand polish.

Anyone who has used the above feel free to comment.  Also any general AB prod recommendations are welcome.

Purple Rain is good but IronX and Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels is better than that

Thanks Chris

Does anyone else have any regular products they use from AB?

OK I have gotten a little carried away.

Alongside purchasing a Foam Lance deal as Crimbo present for my little bro, I am some how sat with my finger hovering over the buy it now button of a £130.00 order from AB Direct.

Heeeellp, I need supervision.

I'm there!

Still running a bit old school here, doing everything by hand, albeit to good effect.  If there was ever a chance to get a few practical pointers on Rotary and DA use :D and perhaps see how much better you can bring a panel up with one then I would be very grateful.

Ask no more

I'll get it sorted in the New Year

So how early do I need to get in to book this Briskie detailing mini meet?

Name a date....?

Trouble is the weather shows no sign of settling down at the moment, and if it does, it will get too cold..

Best waiting till Spring I reckon

Would love to come to a detaling mini meet but will be a bit far for me to travel. :/

Only problem is I have a new kit bag full of untested goodies that are crying out to be used........

Plus if I'm left to my own devices, who knows I'll probably go out and buy a flex rotary and remove all the paint from my bonnet :D

Seriously though Chris, I'll keep a bead on the long range forecast, there's bound to be a decent weekend due in the coming months.

Also, apologies if I have inadvertently invited all Briskie detailers to your house for tea

No probs

I'll look out for a 'window' too

.........and we need a donor car too

Purple Rain was a massive let down for me, but as you say Magifoam is impressive (though just bought 5 litres of BH Auto Foam to try). The Jaffa Clean is a product I highly recommend. Works amazing on door shuts and gaps, simply spray on leave for a little while and wipe off (areas, ie, the top of the boot shuts where a lot of 'gunge' build up a little agitation may be needed with a small brush or similar, followed by a wipe), leaving a nice clean sheen with some protection also.

Purple rain 2.0 is apparently a decent step forward from the original..

Have Jaffa clean to try alongside others :)

My car is the donor Chris.

OK lol

Another donor car here that needs a going over with a rotary here. Beer tokens involved!!

No probs

Is this an "open" invitation as although you are a good few miles away from me I believe the Premier Inn Bradford North would be in commuting distance so I could make a w/e of it , don't worry if it's not I won't be offended ;)

Its not far away...If/when I do this..there will be limited space

My experience with Autobrite was that the chemicals were great, just extremely variable in their composition. They basically mix up a batch and bottle it. There is nothing wrong with that, it just seems that sometimes the quality control is a bit squiffy. The first production batch of Magifoam was shocking. They replaced all of it. I've since had issues with other chemicals. I complain, they send me another bottle and it's all good again.

It wouldn't surprise me at all that the person who reported issues with Purple Rain got a duff batch and, if they complained and were sent a new bottle, would be very happy with it.

They're a bunch of lads mixing chemicals in a big shed in Stoke. It's well worth popping in if you get the chance. Big drums of chemicals all over the place!
