Oil Again!

Featured Replies

Alright dudes, I know this is old but a search hasn't uncovered what I'm after:

Where can I buy PD oil, and how much do I need for the 10k service?

Thanks guys.

You can get Millers XFE-PD from your local motor factors or just pm Oilman on here and he will deliver to your door next day. You will need around 4.5litres for a filter and oil change

i thought it was 4.3 litres?

Oilman's website describes the PD oil you want. Ring them up and mention Briskoda for a discount. Usually comes next day.

Refill capacity is 4.3 litres. I bought a 4 litre + a 1 litre for my 10K service, and the dealer was happy to use it instead of his own oil.. They never opened the one litre bottle, so I guess the odd 0.3 litres was still kicking about the system. It's now ready for its 20K service and there's about 1/4 litre left in the bottle, so it consumed 3/4 litre in 10K miles, which seems about right.

i have just changed mine not an hour ago. used millers xfe. i think 4.3 sounds about right. i have the tiniest amount left in the container and it holds 4.5 litres.

Spoke to a VW dealer when I bought my second 1L one for the boot (8500 on one litre) and asked what acceptable usage was:

Answer: 1L per 1000KM

I'd be very upset if it was using that much!!!
