sorry forgot to mention that the car is on a 56 plate. thanks

Id be looking for a full service history & proof of a recent cambelt change, also check the rear tyres for wear on the inside edge,if there is you will need new tyres & a 4 wheel alignment carrying out,id also HPI the car,id check the air con/climate control (if fitted) works correctly, have you got a link to the car so we can see what spec it has?

if you do a search in the octy 2 section you'll find quite a few threads on buying vRS' s. Good luck

How many miles has it done?

Check for rust on the tailgate where the number plate lights are situated and along the crease. Other points to look for rust are sills due to stone chipping and front wings.

Cambelt, even with full service history get it replaced if it's over 45k and not been done. I got dealer to include a change on mine as it had 70k and hadnt been done as the log book states 112k internval or something crazy.

If they dont, ask for £350/400 off the price so you can get it done.

Looks a nice car,it has climate control & maxidot,Id check for full service history(no mention in ad) & proof of a cambelt & ideally water pump change.

Offer him less than what he has priced, I'd offer him £4250, max £4500. Take it for a test drive, check for any blue smoke usually related with turbo. Cause the mileage is very low, there shouldn't be a problem but still do your checks.

Good luck :)
