Had a good Yeti day today - a muscovado  in the next village, white one in first car park in town and next a Shark Blue Facelift.  Had a chat with the owners who have only had it a week and are really pleased with it.

 

They thought they were having Pre F/L but received a call  sooner than they had expected, to say their car was being built and would be a FL model. It is a Greenline 1.6 and they previously had a 2.0   Qashqai, they reckon their new Yeti  has more oomph!

 

 

I thought it looked smart, the colour is lovely but I wasn't so keen on the rear- it seems less chunky looking than mine. Having seen these three I was surprised to then see on my way home a silver one coming towards me! Don't usually see many round here as there are a lot of big four wheel drive vehicles used in this area of hilly country.

Saw my 1st FL outside progress Skoda in Northampton today.

Yup.

Called in to see the nice people at Allams today and they had two FLs in the 'pound: one City and one Outdoor and both still had their travel wrap on.

 

City was in Petrol Blue and didn't look too bling in the darker colour - although before I always felt that lighter colours worked better on Yetis (in my humble opinion...!).

 

Outdoor was Brilliant Silver.

 

I was well impressed with the looks of the FL, personally I think that Skoda has done a good job - actually makes the Ur-Yeti look almost, well, sort of dated...

 

 

 

 

I use the term 'Ur-Yeti' as in the 'Ur-Quattro' - I know how much some people like me saying that the Yeti uses the same 4WD system as the Quattro (or should that be 'quattro'?...)     

My Dealer in Devon has the 2 new models tucked away in the workshop.

Salesman told me the official launch is January 2014.

New buyers are warned they will only get the FL models

So they can have a quick peek only at the new models at the moment

There are already customers who have taken delivery of the FL so why on earth Skoda are delaying the official launch until January is beyond me.

The answer could be on the forecourts.

They still have new ones of the old models to sell.

I saw a elderly couple out on a test drive with one

Have seen a white SE in my local dealer, initial thoughts to much white with the painted bumpers, also strange little rear mudflaps. Asked him to let me know when he gets an outdoor in. Thinking about an L and K in Jungle Green!
