Low Emision Engines

Featured Replies

I notice that the new Octavia has a range of much lower petrol and diesel emission engines with the majority being road tax free, is the 1.4 petrol engine used in this model so different to the previous one that it is not compatible with the Yeti? if so are we going to have to wait for a serious Yeti upgrade to see this range fitted. If this is so I cannot see the point of trading in the current model for the facelift

I think one of the drawbacks of the Skoda brand is they tend to use the 'old' VW parts bin but as it is only a minor tweak facelift it is only to be expected.  Ideally they should have tweaked the engines. ICE items appear to be slightly out of date too.

actually that's clever from skoda, they try to use only what's been proven be good at least for some time..

Or made even better by the latest update is another way to look at it.

which is very risky as we know from experience and recent history  :)

The not so low emissions was the reason I didn't buy another one. No point.

Yeti 2 might be different. The DSG 4x4 needs much lower-sub 130 co2's to be of any interest if I buy new.

Even considered a Leaf.......

My thoughts exactly, not enough improvement to justify the cost
