Alloys change?

Featured Replies

Had anyone fitted 18" alloys on a mk1 fabia without the wheels rubbing the inner archers?

Depends on your width and offset aswell.

Please don't

18's on a fabia.... lots of people asking about it over the years I have been here, not too many who ask put them on... read that as you will :)

I've been looking at 3sdm's and they don't do 17" and 16" will be too small :/ unless I lower the car and it will look better but I have a speed bump problem around my area :/

Lower it anyway, regardless of the wheels :D

Haha I think I am

I'm pretty sure it was 18's on that silver Fabia with the sky blue Rota Grid's

Looked like it was built for off roading, even after lowering slightly

Wheels of that size even with the slimmest tyres are simply to big, so even if you lower enough to get rid of the arch gap, it will still look ridiculous

To be fair 17s and standard ride height looks shocking but 18s!!!!! If your going for bigger wheels it WILL need lowering

There's loads of nice 16" 17" wheels out there so y even think about putting 18" onion my eyes 17" is the biggest I would go I have 17" tt comps with stretched 195 40 17" also had mercedes 8holes with stretched 195 45 16 and they ride so much better then the 17"

I had some 18" golf GTI alloys and stuck them on but it looked silly and they rubbed the inner arches when I turned the wheel :/ so I was thinking 17s with low profile tyres on

looks ready for the snow haha

I think 18s can work for a show car with the correct fitment and low enough to pull them off. That silver one is poking way to much on the front, well and the rear but can work with camber. The front needs have inch less width atleast.

Isn't anything more that an inch hanging out the arch illegal?

Well my standard wheels are 16" and I want bigger haha

Its a bit debatable but i have always been told if the tread pattern is inside the arch line its legal.

Others will have been told different im sure but i have talked to many traffic police at car meets etc and not one has said about my rears and the tread ends just on the arch line.

Aslong as no visable tread is showing pass the arch, theres nothing illegal.
