Thanks to all the people on here who have helped me and others with info about Superb MK1's. I'm afraid I'm leaving you for a 2010 MK2 CR170 Elegance with just 32000km's (20,000 miles).

If you ran the 1.9 PD to a high mileage, it would be interesting to see a record of the failures.

Danny, she is "dark", black with black leather. Only problem is its on 18's, not good for our roads!!

Roto, I think the 1.9 is going to last a long time yet, regular oil changes every 10,000 miles not the stupid variable servicing!! and the turbo always spooled down before stopping the engine. Also always used good fuel, we have a lot of suspect stuff up near the border The "new" one is getting new oil when I get my hands on it hopefully before Christmas. BTW its coming with an unused towbar so its going to be interesting.......

Did toy with the idea of a Honda Accord but came across this particular Superb plus no xenons on the Accord.

Well its gone to a new owner after approx 100000 miles with me. All I fitted to it other than service parts were a cv joint, a windscreen and a wheel bearing. I hope the MK2 is as good!
