Shock absorbers for my Vrs stage1

Featured Replies

I have allready lowered my vrs with th H&R springs since I bought it. Now I am looking forward to change the OEM shock absorbers after 56.000 km. Any suggestions keeping in mind the value for money theory!

Bilstein B8 dampers.  Buy nice or pay twice IMO.

That's where I'm going - B8's

me too... but they aren't cheap!

Any other cheaper suggestion?

You don't see many other dampers sold on their own, i.e not as part of a damper and springs kit.

Koni FSD's are more expensive

Weitec have a GT kit but that I have only ever seen with the springs. So buy the kit and then sell your H&R Springs?

If you are only interested in price then I have seen some nasty cheap FK Coilovers for half the cost of the Bilstein dampers, but then again, do you really want to fit those to your car

I had a full Billstein setup on my old Mk2 Golf GTI & it was worth more than any other performance mod, i could have payed double the price & still been happy.

You wont be dissapointed

They are just what my Monte is crying out for

Great to hear that Noggy, they are high on the priority list for me, out and about I am slowly getting a little fed up of my stock shocks

I have the Weitec GT-kit on mine and love it, both smoother than the stock but stiffer when you're pushing them :D!
