I am considering getting one of these for my 1.8 T Elegance and was wondering where is the best place to order from.

I would be wanting the cleaning/oiling kit as well but the best price i have found so far is

Hi I will get you some prices when I get back to work.

Thanks Sarah

I would definatley want the cleaning/oiling kit at the same time.

like i say the best price so far is

got mine from jbs - top service :D and best price i could find- i didnt have the cleaning kit though so i can't tell you how much it is sos :o

As for insurance - IMHO i cant see why a replacement filter would be of interest to them ?? its not an engine mod just a better quality re-useable filter.

i think if i get one i will still contact my insurance company. Do you think it is best just to say it is a replcament filter that can be re used? what if they ask if it is a performance increasing mod??? what have other people told their insurance companies?

the panel filter is a replacement for the standard one in the airbox, i'm not sure this needs to go through the insurance or not but its always best to ask them. i wouldnt call it a performance increasing mod though, more a preventative maintanence thing.

Hi all

The cleaning stuff for the Green Cotton filters is

I am sure i have read somewhere that they need to be cleaned every 5k miles. I assumed it would need re-oiling at the same time too. If i have got the wrong information then i bow down to your superior knowledge Sarah

The instructions with it say every 7.5km it needs to be cleaned and then reoiled :D It's very easy to do though ... even I managed not to screw it up ;)
