Check this out!! my 2 montha old Fabia(1.9 TDI Elegance Estate)

crushed by tree. I had been sitting in it 5 minutes earlier. Just heard from repairers it's probably a write off. Got todays newspaper article but dont know how to upload it???

If I had been in the car I would have gotten away with less than major injuries. Despite the car taking the full impact of the tree there was minor intrusion into the passenger safety cage. The chassis is bannnana shaped, the offside "a" post has totally snapped and the roof has ballooned. When(rather than if) it's written off, I'm ordering another at Paul's Motors Guernsey

Got any better pictures?

Sounds like you had a lucky escape but various membes here have proved that furbies can take quite an impact on the roof and protect the passengers

if you like send me the article as a jpeg (not too big) and I will see if I can host it

Ive eventually managed to upload article. difficult to type when your hands are still shaking

Just hope it gets sorted out quickly for you..........be nice if the parks insurance paid for it though....somebody is looking after you

Glad no-one was hurt  - must have scared the living cr@p out of you, especially with the kids as well

PS sliding it on the roof didnt do the Furby much good either now, did it ;) Just ask a certain person who is nearing the PD100->PD130 conversion

Hope they write it off soon so the insurance can pay out and get ya back on the road.

Holy poo - that is quite scary. Glad you and the kids are okay.

Andy

Scary! But at least you will get a new replacement.

Good to see, that some people have still some luck..

Two persons have been hit by a tree in their car in Cologne

yesterday .. both was heavily injured and had to be cut out

of the car by the firefighters..

I hope, the fright last not too long and you get it all sorted.

OMG

Glad to hear you are all ok - that must have been scary

hope you get it sorted quickly so you can go and get yourself a nice shiny new one :D

Are you kidding? This is a 100ft OAK tree. Not just a tree. An OAK tree. Even a truck wouldn't withstand the weight and momentum of a 100ft falling oak tree.

It would, because the trunk isnt' going to come crashing down directly onto the ground is it. The upper branches cushion a tree's fall quite nicely.
