Daylight running lights and fogs

Featured Replies

I have just got a 60 plate 2.0 Tdi cr elegance estate, is it possible to have the daylight running lights and cornering fogs enabled at the same time ?

Cheers

Nick

yes, vagcom to do this

But what's the point in corning fogs in daylight?

The cornering fogs only work with headlights on

I know that, the OP wants cornering fogs to work with the DRLs, ie during the day....

When the OP mentions 'same time' I read it as can both features be activated at the same time, not that they illuminate at the same time?

That's how I read it as well

I understood that drl and fog light on, both on as DRL

I think I took a pic of this, going to see

Exactly as mikeholroyd says.

When I got the car from a main Skoda dealer I asked about the cornering fogs and the sales guy said that it can't be done on this car as the headlamps were really good on this model and it didn't need it. I'm not sure that this is true.

Sounds like quality bovine manure being dispensed by the sales guy IMHO. Take it somewhere else and get them to do it, or search for VCDS owners near you on this site.

Ah, the good old dodgy car salesman strikes again.

Email him a link to this thread. Please make my day.

On a 60 plate your Octavia is a facelift (FL) and as it has front fog lights then it is 100% possible to activate them as cornering lights.

As Mike suggests find a dealer that gives a **** or better still find a local member with VCDS.

Sorry for the pic, that was my first LED on DRL

Both DRL and Fog light are on as one DRL
