Bluetooth and Aerial upgrade

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/skoda/oem-1k0035501j-original-skoda-roof-shark/ this shark fin aerial to their Octavia? (P/N: 1K0-035-501-J) I want to improve my GPS signal and give me the option of fitting a DAB Columbus at a later date.

I also want to swap out my current bluetooth module 5K0-035-730-D for a 3C8-035-730-C (or D). Will these work in a 2010 FL? I will also be fitting the extension cables needed for the GSM and GPS.

That arial is fitted standard to my blackline and I havent had any isues with it. Radio quality is good not dropped out on me except where no digital reception is availible. Gps all ways seems ro get a good fix. . So id guess yes it would work fine on a 2010 fl car.

I've just installed a 3C8-035-730-D in my 2009 FL. Straight swap for old unit and connects my iphone and samsung phone no problem, even has the in car wifi working when the samsung is connected. VCDS is throwing up a few fault codes which I havn't looked into yet but all functionality seem to be ok.

Do you get full rSAP functions with both phones?

I get full rSAP with the Samsung Galaxy but not with iPhone, even the wifi function wont work when the iPhone is connected however the iPhones phonebook, call logs, etc etc are all on the Columbus.
