Read the thread below which is one of many on this subject. The engine code is on the sticker inside the front of the service record booklet, on a duplicate of that sticker under the boot carpet, and in the V5C.

Main difference from a basic user's point of view is the electronic egr in the BLT.  Other than that, not much worth worrying about.
