Looking for a hand car washer in Kent

Featured Replies

My daughter in law is looking for a recommendation for a half decent hand car washer in or around Deal (Kent).

She has just taken delivery of a new Astra (I know!) and she wants to keep it tidy but refuses to wash a car herself (and before you suggest it I am not doing it!)

So she is after some damage limitation and is looking for a hand car wash company that doesn’t use acid or a really strong TFR (therefore limiting the amount of effort they need to input!) the car also has supposedly had a Lifeshine treatment, but if I’m honest I think it has just had a quick PDI wipe down... two weeks old and nothing beads off it, the rain just sits there (granted on a dirty car)

So any recommendations out there?

I`d clean the Astra for her for a fee.....I`m just someone who likes to keep his car looking good. I use predominately Autoglym with Collinate and a spot of Dodo Juice.

But I am NOT a company!! I live not far from Hawkinge.

They all use the same products..very harsh chemicals

I wont/cant recommend ANY carwash company to you...anywhere

Sorry

Why cant you do it for her?

Why cant you  she do it for herself?

Corrected for you Chris. You're welcome mate :)

Chris I did her last one (full detail) .... Oh what a waste of time that was lol.

Time is my biggest problem now.

She needs to do it herself if she wants it done! She is welcome to come to mine on weekends and we can clean the cars together and have a natter at the same time lol.

I used the guys at the top of walmer (the old garage) with my old car and they always did a good job on a filthy car. I don't know of anything that isn't similar round here (Deal as well)

I fully agree than she should really do it herself, but I am a realist and it isn’t going to happen!

threadbear, I have PM’d you.

I wouldn't use/recommend any car wash, hand or not. Sponges are used on 100's of cars, thrown to the ground, dunked in dirty water etc...

To far to go every few weeks up to Kelly's?

When I was on the ccuk forum someone called Jamie Helene was always detailing people's cars he does it for a living and he's work always looked good but it's usually around the £120 I think I will have a look on there and try to find his company I know he's from gillingham but has a work van so obviously travels :)

She is not looking for a detailing standard, just a good safe hand wash.
