corsa vxr alloy wheels

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone if these will fit straight on or need spacers or something?

Cheers

They look to be 110mm bolt spacing so they're going to need converters. Sadly, the ones I've been able to find specs on are also ET38 (about the same as the standard vRS wheel) so you're probably looking at the narrowest converter you can lay your hands on.

I looked at these, lowest adapter is 20mm so et18

you can get 15mm adapters

Thanks chaps.

So we saying they won't fit without spacers or there is more to it?

Cheers

I should have put I was only looking at H&R. I couldnt find any other named brands doing them.

Anything will fit, it's down to how much work you want to put in. ET23 isnt undoable I dont think. Bit of stretch, bit of rolling etc

You talking about the 17 inch thick spoke snowflakes. What width are they, 7.5?

Yes mate snowflake ones, I'm not sure the Internet isn't turning up much.

Genuine 17 snowflakes are et44 7.5j im pretty sure. So with 20mm adaptors they should sit nice i reckon. 195/40 tyres aswell will be good fit, nice flush fit no stretch really.

Thanks so all I'd need is 20mm spacers that's all? Maybe longer wheel bolts?

Cheers

No, adaptors 5x100 to 5x110.

So with spacers and adaptors wouldn't it be a bit unstable or dodgy?

I'm thinking these wider wheels will be better for grip too. Tbh I'm only considering these wheels because I can get some for cheap.

Cheers

You would just use 20mm adaptors no spacers aswell. They will cost you as much if not more than a second hand set of 17 snowflakes, around £250 roughly. Can get some cheap wider vw (5x100) that bolt straight on for alot less all in i say.

Ah so your saying all I'd need is adaptor which kinda have spacers built in however these adaptors are what 50 quid per wheel?

Cheers

£250 / 4 wheels = £62.50.

Yes adaptors will bolt to your hub and are available in different sizes 15mm is usually the lowest but i wouldnt feel comfortable with only 15mm thread for the wheels

So id go 20mm adaptors then use your original bolts to fit alloy to spacer, thats assuming vauxhall alloys use the same type of wheel bolt as vw ones. If not you'll need new wheel bolts too
