Monte Carlo Tech numbers

Featured Replies

I have a Monte Carlo Tech and I am well pleased with it. However, all the "blurb" on the sales stuff said that there were to be only 1000 cars, 500 petrol and 500 diesel. I looked today on "howmanyarethereleft.co.uk" which reckons that there are 557 petrol cars registered by the end of last quarter. Can anyone throw any light on this?

On the plus side, my Yugo 45A seems to be the last one left on the road!!

It said 1000 petrol and 1000 diesel where i read it.

But,

Just read the Autoexpress article were it says 'Limited to 1000', 500 petrol 1.2 TSI & 500 1.6 TDI CR

Now there is the 'Monte Carlo Tech Black Edition & the Tech estate', so some of those are now registered.

The first run was 1000, 500 of each engine then they released another 1000 including the Tech estate as far as I'm aware.

It was a limited run due to the standard spec but it's certainly not a limited edition where they only make so many and give each one a numbered plaque.
