Really bad condensation.

Featured Replies

Hi over the past couple of weeks I've been getting really bad condensation on the inside of the fabia.

Any ideas what's causing it?

It can be clear when I first drive it in the morning but when I've left it all day at work its bad all most to the point it starting to run down the windows.

Thanks.

Rear footwell carpet wet?

Have a look in the Citigo forum they have a ongoing discussion on this subject might be of help.

Ok will have a look there.

The rear passenger carpet feels very very slightly damp.

I noticed that the rear drivers doors window seal is dirty and slightly away from the glass.

So I've cleaned that and will see what happens.

Check the bottom of your rear door cards, do they feel wet?

If yes then the carriers just need resealing, do a search on here, there's like a million and five topics on it :)

Might be some dirt and crap blocking the inlet vent under the black tray/window wipers. I read a brilliant thread yesterday about cleaning it out. So thought I should do mine while it's in bits. I'll try and get the link for you, shouldn't take more than an hour to do, but it is a **** load easier with the wiper pullers, as I cracked the windscreen being to roch with a crowbar! Lol ended up using stilsons on the nut and the back of the blade.

Thanks. Will have a look at that. Doors are dry at the bottom and carpets cold but not wet.

Grab a couple of Moisture Traps from your local £1 shop to help remove the moisture :)

If you have a look on ebay there's loads of dehumidifier packs available. If you get some with indicator markers on them they change colour when full and you can then recharge them in the microwave. I got some pingi ones but there are other alternatives.
