Fault codes

Featured Replies

Hello Folks, Continuing on with my saga, Octavia Tdi Vrs 2007, engine warning light on, now have codes P2626 and 2414 on the diagnostics. Was advised that it could be an 02 exhaust sensor and there might be two fitted, one pre cat, one post cat, was quoted £200 for replacement, but the well know online site shows prices of £50 upwards. Or the EGR valve needs clear or replacing, another £200.

Under hard acceleration it can feel like the engine is continually being turned on and off, should I opt for sensors or clean the EGR valve first. :mmm:

Those code normally mean the pre-cat sensor is faulty. Do you have the context codes that go with the fault codes (008 - Implausible Signal, 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded, etc)?

Unfortunately not, the garage receipt stated " Carry out diagnostic investigation, found codes P2626 & 2414" they quoted £200 for a replacement which I thought for an 02 sensor was a tad steep.
