ESI reset issue

Featured Replies

I went to see vulcan today, he wanted an air bag light extinguishing, single click un lock and the service light fettling, all quite simple really BUT, after sorting the air bag and the single click unlock the ESI was a night mare, SRI single click did not work so went to 17 and went through adaptation but kept seeing an error message about value too large?

Any idea what I have missed?

Here is a video of what I have tried to do, second half obviously, but I go the error message.

I had this on a TT recently.

OK this isn’t the ideal way to do it... but it worked out OK, both on the display and mileage counters:

I ended up trying the Service Reset (USA Only) option, first option on the drop down list.

I then changed it back to “Flexible Oil Service Reset (LongLife/Great Britain/Diesel)”

Thanks Gizmo, I might not try this as it is not my car!   Will keep a note of it though as it obviously works
