Rite i put a couple of LED's in my cubby hole under my stereo today. Cant decide about them. Im a bit 50/50. What does everyone else think.

pop a slice of bread in there and use it as a toaster :)

i was going to do this but in green to match dash lights  ... ... ... thought it might be distracting 

I done this with green led's

looked good till the leds decided my car was to much and decided to die haha.

when it gets to summer ill be adding leds and upgrading leds in me lil fabia

Its not that bad. Its worse i think because its such a big area with nothing to break it up. I may put a resistor in there yet to tone it down a bit. If i put ny phone in there then it becomes distracting because the 3 leds reflect off the screen.

I like it, just bought some leds to do similar things in mine.

Where did you take the power from might I ask? 

 

I have a front cup holder to fit and was thinking about doing this with the left over ashtray light.

Also, has anyone ever made submarine style lighting for the Fabia?

I have it in the Leon and its lovely and subtle, I had it in my ST Focus too and missed it since.

Its on my list of things to do, just got to see what the light output is like on these leds i have bought.

I took the power from the ashtray.  There's 2 wires there.  The blue is the live.  I fed the wires for the new LED's from the back of the cubby hole, down through the slot at the back, and down the side and alone the centre console where your gear stick is.

 

I basically followed the guide below but just put them where i wanted to.  Its a really good and comprehensive guide.  The guy is proper cleaver.  I drilled 3 holes along the top of the cubby hole insert and fed the wires through the back.
