Fabia vrs estate warrenty advice

Featured Replies

I guys. Just bought a fabia vrs estate. Just after some advice really. The car is still under official warrenty until October this year. I've spoken to skoda customer services and asked them if there has been any claims made under warrenty on this car. They've advised that nothing has been done to the car under warrenty. I'm aware of the oil issue so hoping that this motor might not have issues! Do you think I should take the car to skoda dealer and get them to do an inspection, if that's possible? It's a 2011 cave engine. The only issue I've noticed is that when given some wellie, I have to fight with the steering wheel sometimes. Likes to pull to the left. Any ideas? Cheers

Is there a problem with the car? Aside from the steering (which sounds like torque steer tbh)

If its not pulling to the left normally,

but only when under acceleration & like between 2,400-3,500 rpm when you are on Supercharger anf turbo, then 3,500 plus i suggest it is just torque steer.

Different tyres or pressures and sometimes road camber will make it more noticeable.

?What tyres are on the car, are they Dunlop Sport Maxx 205/40 R17 ?

Did you buy a 'Skoda Approved Used Car' and get a full 12 Months Warranty,

or do you only have the remainder of the Original 3 year Warranty?

If only till October,

I would suggest you look at buying a 2 year 'Skoda Extended Warranty' from October,

Currently around about £547.

Just as much as i like Twinchargers, i would only want one with a Warranty on it.

Further note on the torque steer theory; this can be aggravated by different make and/or tread depth on the front tyres.

Thing is it is not theory on the vRS, there can be Torque Steer and is, and yes tyres effect it to a degree,

and at times it is advised when doing the likes of a double kick down to hold the steering wheel with both hands,

(handy that there are paddles there if you want to shift, with both hands on the steering wheel.)
