F/L Yeti Tailgate Badge

Featured Replies

Please remind us of the part number for a "new style" front badge that'll fit a pre F/L Yeti (if you get my drift!).

I'm not looking to make my car look younger than it is, but after replacing badges 3 times due to white worm, I'm thinking of giving up with the 'proper' ones (I', assuming the new ones are more resistant to decay).

Isn't it a poor advert for your company when the label you proudly stick on your product fails so readily. Not good manufacturing practice!

Would imagine all UK stock will be sold out by the end of the week.

Different construction - solid black backing with chrome finish emblem and ring clipped on - should be much more durable?

Thanks for that part number, unfortunately Skoda don't appear to have in stock as a spare yet.

I've just nipped round to my favourite Skoda dealer, they checked on the screen - no stock yet in the UK .

Rainworth (http://www.rainworthskoda.co.uk/ )  have them - or did yesterday!

Parts folks there are really switched on!

You might also find them on Ebay, by searching on the part numbers?!

Ordered on Wednesday this week, rang me back from Bickertons today. F/L Yeti rear door badge all sold out even at supplying depot in the UK, will be at least a fortnight till order is fulfilled.

Well the rear door F/L badge as finally arrived (15/02/14), probably took so long due to missed sailings by IOM Steampacket. Now can a kind Briskoda member give me some advice on the correct way to replace the old badge with the new one?

  • Warm area gently with a hairdryer or hot air gun (careful not to overheat!)

  • With a plastic trim removal tool gently prise the existing badge away from the panel.

  • Clean the exposed paint with degreaser/alcohol.

  • Warm

  • Apply new badge

  • Stand  back and admire!

  • HTH!

Cheers for that Robin. Now all I need is a dry sunny day-long wait I suspect

Finally, after weeks on order, my new plastic rear badge appeared.

Full set now, new front badge, rear, wheel caps, wheel arch trim, extra front mud flaps and extended underbody protection - good to go on gravel roads - two years and got there :wonder:

Full set now,

And steering wheel centre badge?

And steering wheel centre badge?

And both remote key fobs?

I got a steering wheel badge from pastyboy, but never felt happy attaching for fear of interfering with the airbag function. Probably been OK, but sold Yeti now and gave badge away to another member.

I MUCH prefer the old Skoda badge.  :sun:

The new one looks too much like a Vauxhall badge

No, likewise with the airbag badge. I'm loathe to fiddle with the air bag "lid". also it is not flat, so would be difficult to stick an adhesive badge on.

Quiet happy with what I've got, not bothered by the steering wheel badge/fob, or indeed comments that it looks like a Corsa badge.

I know it's a Yeti, and that's good enough for me.

I've now got a spare rear Pasty Boy badge left over

Why spoil an original Yeti? Most people seem to think the new badge looks like a Vauxhall badge from a distance :-)

Oh dear, yes I can see it looks like a Vauxhall badge, but I like it on my Skoda. It takes all sorts in this world, life is too short to worry about things like this. :wonder:

Picking at things like air bags is either trying to wind me up, or jealousy, or something else :giggle:

I'm happy you like the green OEM badge, I'm happy I like the Corsa look-a-like badge - we're all happy.
