Blackfire winter detail/polish for Mk2 Fab vRS

Featured Replies

Yikes! Now that sounds scary!!

M'eh.  Always scary (I guess) the first time, but practise makes perfect.  My bonnet on my 924 took about 8 hours of wet sanding but that was somewhat of a unique issue.  In general wet sanding is fine as long as you know how much is there.  This is where my paint depth gauge comes in damned handy.  It's my little STOP warning.

I bought a DA 6 and other goodies from cleanyourcar last year after the wife's Fabia had been for a service and came back with I am sure more swirls in the paint work than what it went in with. A few videos later and a bit of courage the Fabia looked much better. The DA polisher is fairly straight forward to use and have now used it on my Superb. If you are in the Hatch Warren area Zouche I am sure you could trial it on a panel or two.

Interesting!

I may take you up on that offer when the weather improves. I take it that is where you are? I'm in the town centre itself so not too far away :)

No problem zouche, I am also awaiting the better weather at least you have a nice big garage!

Great idea never thought of that. Will have to check work timetable and put it in the diary.
