Vrs 17" wheels

Do 17" wheels fit on the vRS?

Yes

Standard 5 stud, yup.

5x112 - as per the MK2 and Golfs Mk5 onward but do check the offset to be sure of clearance for the front calipers as they are larger than the MK2s.

Hopefully someone will post the standard Mk3 wheel offset, for the Golf GTi with the same big brakes as the MK3 Octy the offset is 49mm

Et51 I understand.

ET 51 on a 7.5 width is correct size for VRS. Running ET 40 on a 7.5 rim with no rubbing on my winter tyres.

They will fit the back of the car but you need 18" for the front as I believe the discs are 17".

Unless I've misunderstood the question.

You're an inch out.  16" only fits the back, 17" fits all around.

I stand corrected then, my bad, thought it had to be 18" up front, you learn something new everyday :)

That's alright. Even I don orthopeadic shoes occasionally..... Or even quite often! ;-)

I got to know a bit (too much) about the Vrs wheels recently in order to sort out my own full size spare.   Proud owner of an ex seat Leon 5 bolt 112 pCD et 51 with 57.1mm centre bore draco alloy now...... Just need the car to fit it too :-)

If you go to www.alloywheels.com and select VW, Golf 08-13, 17" 225/45 17.

You'll see a full range of wheels that should be able to fit your car.

I chose some ATS radials with an et of 50. Alloywheels.com probably have one the best selections, but they're not the cheapest. So shop around.
