Debadging the VRS Grill?

Featured Replies

How is this done?  I will be replacing with the new Skoda & vRS badges all round as soon as they come into the dealers.  However I'm unsure and don't want to break the badge. As with the front Skoda badge? Lift bonnet up and unclip it?  I've looked on the search but no help.

thanks

All you have to do mate is get a butterknife wrap it in a microfiber cloth and put it under the badge and work it around the edges to get it off- that works for the front and rear badges - unsure on the front VRS badge, but think it's just got a screw in the back of it!

I know how to get the 'Skoda' badges off not a problem (don't mean to come across all sharp there :) ).

I might just take the whole thing off and have a look.

Im coming up your part of the country, saturday afternoon, to meet two other lads off here (The Boy Armitage & his mate), if you fancy it?

it's ok sorry I read it wrong I thought you was looking for the best way of getting the badges off haha! I'll speak to Carl and ask him when and where :-) if I can make it I'll come!

Well yeah with the front badge sorry, looks like it's clipped into the grill.

You know him already?

Couple of screws by the look of it pal, we can have a proper look tomorrow!

I think it is screwed in to be honest, yeah we meet up every now and then and wash our cars :-)

sorry typo!

Update: you have to remove the air intake apparently!

You cut the vRS off the grill 'carefully', and you glue on a new one to cover the 4 bits left that are not too pretty.

Why not just look closely at your grill and see what you need to do?
