Ordered a 1.2 TSI DSG SE saloon. Was told it will be with me 2nd week April.  Does that sound realistic?

That depends when you ordered it.

 

I've been told mid April, and I ordered mid September.

To be honest, unless the supply chain gets a lot better it's doubtful. There must be a huge backlog to clear from last year still - mine isn't built yet and it was ordered in September!

I think it may be the standard 12 week dealer quote you've got.

My 1.4TSI Elegance took 12 weeks from order to collection at a time when ACC was causing build delays.

 

The biggest delays appear to be with the VRS due to a very high demand.

Well ther could be a few 1.2 TSI bits in the store cupboard, its not one of the more popuar specs, that said my 1.4 TSI is looking like 11 weeks so, if you stay away from the vRS's there seems to be few problems, 12 weeks sound about right if all the parts are in stock.  Not too many optional extras on your one Bob ?
