no power to aftermarket stereo

Swapped the single din kenwood stereo for a jvc double din Today the jvc wasnt holding the eq settings etc so removed again to swap permanant and switchable live over which solved the priblem pushed the stereo back into the cage and it has stopped working altogether checked fuse in back of head unit and fuse in fuse box both ok any ideas could this be a broken wire?
