Facia Plates

Featured Replies

Dont know if this has been covered before and if it has I apologise. But I am after a facia plate for the dash cavity in the fabia so I can chop it up to add the 7 inch touchscreen for my carputer project. I want to try and make it look as near factory fit as possible. Anyone ogt nay ideas where I can lay my hands on one. All the ones Ive seen are one din conversions

I gather as plenty of people have read this post I am on a hiding to no where and will have to fabricate something myself (unless there is a fabrication expert amongst us who wouldnt mind earning some beer tokens ;) )

Looks that way.

I'd just try and find a large flat sheet of textured plastic and measure very carefully before cutting it to size

I think Halfords do something called 'Plasticoat', an old housemate used to use it to re-do the dash of his 205 GTi

did it look factory or did it look like soemone had attacked the dash with too much back to black (hate the shiny look that ALL hire cars have)

It's an expensive way of doing things, but the sliding tray fits into the single DIN aperature. You could chop the front face up to your hearts content! :D
