Nice combo

Jetseal in good stuff..so versatile

I'm gonna have to re do it I think chris, I should have took some pics but the car has almost like streak marks all over due to the condensation. No matter how much I buffed off the combination of blacklight and jetseal it just looked a mess. Any idea chris?

So maybe tomorrow it might look different but if not i will re apply.. The black light came up amazing, was very impressed.

As for the photo Mandp I've no idea why it's on it's side, it wasn't before I uploaded it.

How long did you let the Blacklight cure before you applied the Jetseal?

Are you working tomorrow?

  • Author

20 minutes, no not working tomorrow I've got a week off.

You might have put it on too thickly

  • Author

Should I start over or just leave it and re buff?

It will have hardened now

Do you want me to have a look at it?

  • Author

If you have the time I could pop round, I don't want to put you out.

I'm happy to take your advice and start again if that's what's needed.

Thanks for helping by the way.

Try applying the Jetseal again...It might be the condensation..

Its very high today and probably will be tomorrow

Thanks chris I will give it a go and take some before and after pictures. I hope it is just down to condensation as I had high hopes for its protection but can't have a streaky car.

Nice selection of kit their Din.

That mitt is an exact replica of the Meg's or v.v.

Did you use separate applicators for each product, can only see the one finger applicator, (basic question I know), probably a curing thing as said above, all my kit is taking longer to go off in this weather. Was it late in the day when you were working?

Also let me know how the V7 works out, been eyeing that up.

Yeah I used 2 application pads for the 2 products. It was late in the day when I was applying the jetseal109 and I'm not joking the condensation was freezing to the car.

No matter how much I hand buffed the LSP after a few seconds it was looking smeary and full of condensation again.

I will keep you posted on the V7 but bear in mind I'm an absolute amateur unlike yourself and chris.

Thanks for tips

I'm pretty certain its the condensation that's been the problem

V7 is pretty awesome

I had a play with it a couple of years ago...It works best with sealers too

This was mine at a Meet taken by another forum member with V7 applied:

Wow I wish mine had come out half as good as that, although all I used was the blacklight and jetseal 109.

Just looked outside and the car has frost all over it. Was hoping to give it another go tomorrow.

In those conditions it's nigh on the same as applying to a wet car, you have little hope.

Love how that looks Chris, I was eyeing V7 exactly because of the switch to Abyss, something else to try as an alternative to Sonax Xtreme. Few others out there too that really suit sealants, fancy grabbing one.

Also considering Prima Amigo or Blacklight to go under the abyss.

I might be a sealant convert, the car is keeping so much cleaner than with wax.

Thanks for the advice. Should I just re-apply the jetseal then? Or start afresh? Or just try adding the V7?

I think my neighbours already think I'm a bit obsessive with the car cleaning, if they see me out their with a hair dryer on the car they will think I'm nutty!

Joking aside though I respect the knowledge you guys have, I will give it a try and report back.

Thank you.

Carl.

Good luck

If you struggle, let me know

Well I applied the v7 over it this aft and I have to say it looks much better.

Not up to a lot of people's standards on here but quite impressed with finish.
