Is there any physical or mechanical difference between the normal seat frames and those of a vRS/ Sport. Any reason why I can't use my frames and swap the bases and back foam parts over for some vRS ones and add the covers?

 The metal bits? nope none at all

 

my recaros started life as set of grey and beige out of a classic

 

 

and the Octavia half leathers started life as the same design in grey on grey

 

 

and both those resulted in exactly the same movement as the standard VRS seats

forward & back from the level at the front, height adjust on the side lever for the driver only

 

Dependent on your reasons though and assuming it's not a condition thing you just swap the entire back rest rather than having to move the foam and covers...
